There are NO duty exemptions for motor vehicles imported by returning residents, however once the status is granted they are entitled to import motor vehicle up to 10 years provided that it has been in their possession for at least six (6) months . An Import License must be obtained from the Trade Board Limited (Link to JSwift), prior to the arrival of the vehicle and the duty and taxes will be assessed based on the current rates.
Motor Vehicle between 7 to10 years (FULL DUTY AND TAXES PAYABLE)
- The Motor Vehicle Importation Policy is primarily administered by the Trade Board Limited which is responsible for granting Import Licences for motor vehicle importation. Import Licence should be obtained prior to importation.
